Ateker Cultural Center (ACC) is established as an indigenous NGO based in Karamoja, Uganda. It was founded in 2018 ( Legally registered in 2022 with Uganda NGO Bureau) by indigenous pastoralist’s women and youth who are committed and passionate about preserving and sharing the positive pastoralist’s values among the Ateker communities in the Horn of Africa. ACC’s main focus are on Natural Resource Management,  Pastrolism and Land , Advocacy, Cultural heritage, Justice and Peace.

Ateker people include; The Karamojongs (Uganda), Turkana (Kenya), Toposa and Jie (South Sudan), Nyangatom (Ethiopia) and other pastoral groups in the Horn of Africa.
